The warrant issued for suspect Sampson Oguntope offered some new details about the murder of an elderly Slaton woman in her home Tuesday. Investigators report the victim, 89-year-old Faye Gray, had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.

Her caretaker, a 21-year-old woman, ran to a neighbor's house for help and had a wound to the head, the cause unknown. According to the warrant a search of Oguntope's northwest Lubbock apartment turned up possible evidence of blood transferred there from another location and from someone who was inside the apartment.

Oguntope is jailed on $5 million bond for Gray's murder. Sheriff Kelly Rowe said he expects more charges will be filed after evidence testing is complete.
