Modern veterinary care has come a long way, and removing tumors from your pet's leg without amputation is one of the benefits of these advances. The process involves surgical removal of the tumor, along with part of the bone to which it's attached. That portion of the bone is then replaced with healthy bone from another part of the animal or from a donor. This is usually done in conjunction with chemotherapy. This procedure can dramatically improve your pet's chances for recovery. The animal may not be as frisky as it once was, but it'll have all its legs.
