Lubbock Christian University has a new president, the sixth in the school's history. Tim Perrin is currently the Vice Dean of Pepperdine University's School of Law. He will begin his new job June 1st.
Current president, Dr. Ken Jones will hand over his CEO duties and serve exclusively as chancellor.
Perrin said first on his to-do list is take a listening tour. He said he has the happy challenge of building on a great foundation.
“How can we continue to provide greater resources how can we increase the alumni engagement with Lubbock Christian, how can we continue to advance opportunities for our students, and make this school even stronger than it has been to this point?”
Perrin was born and raised in Lubbock. He graduated from LCU in 1984 and from Texas Tech's School of Law in 1987.His wife Lucy is also an LCU alumnus.
